Video Capture through USB?
I just got the HV30, and was really excited because I could finally have video in a decent resolution (I’ve been using a 15 year old camera). So I’ve got some video on the tape, but now I have to capture it, apparently. The problem here is that it came with a USB cable, and software..but apparently the software/cable is just for capturing stills off of the camera?
I don’t have a firewire jack on this computer (I just ordered a mobo anyway that happens to have one, but I’ll have to put that machine together, and I want to edit this now =p), so…is it possible to capture the video through USB?
I’ve been looking around, and apparently its done through firewire, although there seem to be some people insisting on assorted forums that you can capture video through USB. I, however, can not get it to work.
Do you guys know if its even possible? If so, how?
