  Grey Market XL2’s

  I’m shopping around for 3 new XL2’s. Some great deals to be had on Ebay but I’m leery of what might be grey market offers. Those really cheap deals on the Ebay stores don’t seem to offer the US warranties. Is that really the deal?

  What are the risks of buying an XL-2 without a US warranty? I’ve always bought from B&H before with US warranties. Is it worth the extra $?

  Keep in mind, most grey marketers go much deeper than just not offering warranties. You buy the camera, typically you don’t get the charger, or the battery, or anything else. Of course, they’ll sell you all that stuff back, but once you’ve purchased all the items that come in the standard retail package, you haven’t saved much.
