  Should I buy a GL-2?

  Hi,

  I recently found a really good deal on a Canon GL-2, which, as I understand, is a favorite among professional videographers with smallish budgets.

  I also realize that while this is a really nice little camera, it’s also SEVERAL years old, and only records in standard definition.

  I can’t afford to get an HD camera right now unless it’s one of those little consumer models, and I don’t want that because I like my manual controls on the outside of the camera.

  So taking into account lack of HD and risk of obsolescence, should I buy this (HIGHLY discounted) Canon GL-2 or save up until I can get a HD prosumer camera?
