Hi, perhaps some of you can offer some suggestions. I am trying to use an xl2 in a classroom setting for interviews and 1-shots. All I have so far is the stock 20x lens. It’s on a tripod but the mounting head is not that smooth. I do have one tweenie-mole with a chimera soft bank. The overhead lights are fluorescent and really awful so I turn them off. I could leave them on and add the Softbank and re-white balance. I’ve tried it–not that good. I’m hoping to get the Softbank for two more of the tweenies (we have a three light kit) so I can set up fill and backlights. Could I use the bare spots somehow as back and fill lights? I guess I could reflect them off of the walls or white board but we are rather cramped for room. Plus they get really hot and these are not disciplined film students. Until then, I am using a black curtain as a backdrop. The only monitor we have so far is a cheap consumer set but it does have an s-video input that we attach to the xl2. It
