    I have an XL2 after my XL1 and XL1s.
I have noticed a “funny” colour under some circumstances, mainly with the reds.
Flesh tones can sometimes look “blotchy”. Oranges can look very red.

I resorted to the book with the help of avery experienced video camera operator and we adjusted the ‘Custom Key set up and reduced the problem to an acceptable setting.
However, it seems to vary under mixed lighting conditions (flouros, daylight and colour corrected tungsten.

    My question:
    Is the factory default incorrect.
How do I get this checked and adjusted?

    Any help gratefully acepted.

the only time I have seen anything similar is after switching lenses and getting some dirt/grease on the surfaces where the lens mates with the body. The surfaces evidently provide an electrical connection of some sort.

Actually I have noticed a similar problem with one of a matching set of XL-1S. Kind of a green shift. I went into the color setting and tried to adjust it away, but that didn’t work.
I probably need to send the camera in to be check….
Sorry no answers, but the same kind of problem.

    Thanks Peter,
    You are spot on.
We cleaned both the gold contacts )which were only a little bit dirty) and the connection between the lens and the camera (which was filthy).
I suppose I should have relaised that things get dirty with use and need cleaning.
    Thanks again Peter.
