    I have a “City”-comp with about 20 3D-layers which are flat 2D-pictures of buildings.
I need this city in several other comps and it’s quite uncomfortable to handle those 20 layers every time again.

Is there a way to group it to one 3d-object?

    I use After Effects CS3

    Precompose it.
Then, in the main comp, hit the collapse transformations button.
