    Hey guys!

    Whenever I have to make a new composition, I can’t figure out what size in pixels to give it! I don’t know the exact size my camera gives out, but I always get it wrong and I end up having to resize the video square in the composition and then I get black empty areas on the left and on the right.

    What’s the solution? Is there a way to automatically adjust the composition’s size to my video for optimal quality?

    Import your video, then drag the footage and drop it on the New Composition button in the Project panel. After Effects will automatically create a new comp using your footage and its length, resolution, and frame rate.

    Hey Walter!

    Thank you for your reply, however it doesn’t seem to function properly. The following image is what I get when I drag the file onto the new composition button:

    Click the pixel aspect ratio correction button in the viewer:
