    Hello all,
I have noticed a bug in after effects that keep on annoying me
basically whenever i import illustrator files in after effects, it eats a few pixel on the borders of the layer… now i wish if that wouldnt happend and was wondering if anyone had a solution for that…

    Thanks for any help,

Create a rectangle (no stroke or fill) around your artwork (larger than the art of course).

    Save.

    There you go.

    or

select the rectangle and use the option to create crop marks

    Save.

Both yield the same results I believe…

actually i found out another way
the fact is afx’s illustrator size estimation engine has a fatal flaw, it doesnt count in the strokes often
so if you want to make sure not to get cropped, just expanding the aspect is enough
thanks for the tips anyway(although it’s those i used up to now, but were quite frustrating)
