    Hey there,

I’ve got kind of a workflow question.

All of my footage is 25p and I’m editing with AVID MCP5 @ 25pPal 16:9

so, when it comes to authoring the dvd:
do i keep my 25p until that process and Adobe Encore encodes everything to interlaced flagged as progressive? (since interlaced is the only allowed standard for dvds? https://www.dvddemystified.com/)

that’s how it should work, right?

Because “Progressive-source video is usually encoded on DVD as interlaced field pairs that can be reinterleaved by a progressive player to recreate the original progressive video.”

or is there a benefit of importing and editing the whole footage as interlaced from the beginning on?

    Thanks

    -Ruven
