My client has delivered to me what they believe is a Bluray disk. Of course there is no official “bluray” stamp on this as it was a printable blank before…

How can I positively identify this disk as a Bluray? The Bluray player claims it to be a DVD-R with AVCHD 1080 video on it… but that doesn’t prove anything…

My laptop shows the disk as a BD-R but I am not sure what to believe.

If I do a google search for the code on the inner ring:

    CMDR47G

the returns all come in as a Memorex 16x DVD-R.

    The rest of the code:

    TAEWMOA-016 1421

I get zero hits on this part of the code.

    All the DVD-R codes I’ve seen continue on with a “C” not a “T”.

How do I confirm for sure positive what kind of disk this is?

    Thanks!

It’s a DVD with an AVCHD build on it is all. It should be a blueish purple on the bottom.

What do they want you do do with it?
