  Reds in the DVD

  I’m trying to create a dvd of my work and when I burn the DVD it brings up the reds to an extreme and the highlights bleed. Any Idea on what might be doing this?

  I edited with FCP 6
  Color Correction with Color 1.0.4
  Exported using Compressor 3.0.5 (it looks great on the computer after exporting)
  and burned the DVD using Toast 7.0.2

  I’m going to try using DVD Studio Pro soon, but was hoping I might get an answer for this problem before wasting more time.

  Any help is greatly appreciated!

  yeah toast kinda sucks at good compression. that said red colors are always bad looking in SD video. Fact of life…

  Hi David,

  you might just have to go back into Color and create a render specifically for DVD output. Tone down the reds dramatically and maybe do a few test burns to get it just right on a DVD-RW.
