    Hi,
I have this 1/2 film from a dv camera but copy was given to me on a dvd. it started as a quicktime (i think) but has morphed into many different things as I desperately try to find an audio track.
if i play it through windows media player i can hear it but if i bring it into Vegas there is no audio. i can play it on vlc media player, windows media player all with sound but no sound when it gets into Vegas.
This is in the middle of a 2 hour long project watiing to be rendered. It has taken me hours first to get the footage off (I think they didn’t finalise it?) and now this one out of 4 wont work, I don’t know why it’s different. it is .mov. do i need to convert?
    thanks.

This has nothing to do with DVD Authoring but…

The .mov extension just means it is a quicktime wrapper, it can be anything on the inside.

What is the audio codec used in the file? QT player> Movie Inspector, it sounds like the audio codec is not to Vegas’ liking, you can transcode it to a format that Vegas can work with.
