    Hi
I’m using Mac The Ripper to convert a 16:9 video. Everytime I hit ‘convert’ I find that it changes the aspect ratio squashing it to 4:3.
Would anybody know how to avoid that?

ps. I went to the settings and there’s nowhere where I can choose widescreen.

    Thanks,
    Marina

Um sorry but this is for DVD Authoring advice- not ripping. Ripping is a potentially illegal activity and one you can find support for elsewhere on the web.

Thanks Noah for your reply. But I didn’t find the right forum. Also I don’t think ripping a DVD that is your own work and that you own the rights for is “Illegal”! so I don’t think it’s appropriate to go tell me to look for answers elsewhere and judge me of doing an illegal activity when you don’t know the details.
Also a forum as strong as Creative Cow SHOULD have something about ripping since it’s an activity that any editor will need at one point and it depends on how it’s used that it becomes legal or illegal but it’s not ILLEGAL in itself.

    Thanks.
