I am buying an LG internal blu-ray burner for my Macbook Pro. I’m also buying a 5.25″ enclosure to house this internal burner. Trying to decide whether getting an extra estata connection along with the USB is worthwhile or whether it will be burning at such a speed that esata is overkill. Thanks for you help in advance and I apologize if my searches missed this topic on a previous post.

I think the burning speed is way less than USB-2 so I wouldn’t expect a boost there. But this is something to research further if you want to confirm.

Thanks. That is what I thought too.
