  subtitles in dvd studio pro

  I ask again as previously nobody would come up with a good answer. I am using dvdsp for subtitles. I have no problem importing files either from text or slt (with graphics) files. The quality is just so low compared to what I get when I do the job in FCPRO that I wonder if I am missing something or if its just “a take it or leave it” thing. Basically there is no aliasing in dvdsp. Thanks for help.

  If bolding them does not look better, do you have the ability to create Tiffs for them? That would look a lot better, you’d want to create a SON file with a group of tiffs or bmps. If you know someone who does captioning or subtitling, they may have a program called Swift 6, which does this quite well. If you are able to get a SON file, make sure there are no spaces in the filename, use underscores or dashes.
