  Making a proper DVD from Final Cut Pro

  I have edited an HD project in FCP 7.0. My timeline settings are 1080i/60. Later, I want to make a Blu-ray copy. For now, I want a clean 16×9 DVD copy to show client. I have been making a QT movie and then using iDVD to make a DVD. When I play in back on my 16×9 Panasonic TV, it’s stretched letterbox in the FULL mode on the TV. I want it to fill the screen in FULL mode just like rented movies are. Any advice? Thanks.
