    Hello Everyone,

I’ve searched the forum and haven’t found an answer to this specific problem, so I thought I’d put it out there.

I’m burning a DVD from DVD Studio Pro, I have it set for:
    field order – auto,
    two pass VBR,
    5.5 bit average,
    7.0 bit max,
    best motion estimation.
    build on encode

The footage looks fine, but the menus, which I created using the Apple templates, look grainy. The font is grainy, and the images, which are very high quality and look great in the program, are also pixelated and grainy.

Am I doing something wrong in the encode? Are there hidden settings that affect the menu templates? My deadline approaches! Ah! Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The answer to this question is always the same, build menus outside of DVDSP with AE or Motion, encode them before bringing into DVDSP.

Designing menus in DVDSP is for easy not for quality.
