  • Question for a Cow leader….

Posted by Jeff Bonano on July 9, 2009 at 5:26 am

    …Or anyone for that matter.

I tried looking up to see if anyone asked this already but couldn’t find my answer.

I’ve bought a couple of the Creative Cow Master Series and wanted to know the process Creative cow uses with authoring their DVD and who they go through to mass produce the DVD.

I’m guessing they use a silk screen for the DVD label too, and lastly do they package and ship themselves at the office or use a separate company that provides mail fulfillment?

For anyone else who is reading, If you go through any certain company to mass produce a DVD for your client…who do you prefer for best price and quality regardless of the quantity your client is asking for (either it’s a couple hundred or 8,000 copies). Thanks in advance for any input!

    Hi Jeff,

I’m not a COW leader, but I do duplication, replication and packaging. I use Rimage Everest (thermal) printers for our in-house duplication and offer replication for larger orders or for any project you specifically want/need replication. I have a partnership with one of the leading disc manufacturers on the West Coast and can be very flexible with turn around, printing, packaging, pricing, etc. I just shipped a job yesterday for a client that needed 8,000 DVD5s with process printing replicated in 24 hours, along with 300 copies with variable printing on each one that we duplicated in house. You can call or email me if you have a specific need for something.

    Cheers!
    Matt

Your run of the mill leaders are just random guys that answer questions, most of us have no real affiliation with the Cow. Some are in the DVD tutorial making business so they may chime in.

As a rule of thumb, anything over 250-300 quantity you are better off going to replication (stamped disc).

Thanks for the tips guys, good info that I’m sure I’ll look into. I’m still curious about the creative cow DVD’s though.
