Hi guys! I have this problem with the AE CS5 Scribble effect. Whenever I import a closed path from illustrator (ex. a live traced image) and then apply the scribble effect with the option all masks using nodes I get an error “After Effects error: Scribble internal error (512) (25::60)” Does someone know a workaround for this? Thanks!

I tried it but it still results in an error. This used to be okay in AE CS3 I don’t know what happened but thanks for replying!

I am using the effect on text so I got around by using the all masks option in the scribble effect and and then placing a copy of the background layer over the the layer of text I had applied the effect and using masks to to show the wholes in the letters. Worked for text but not sure if it will help you in your use of the effect.

Hi, I realise this is old, but I have had the same issue and solved it. I had my autotraces continuosly rasterizing – once I turned this off the problem stopped!
