I just dropped 6 aiff files (L, R, C, LFE, LS, RS) into compressor, created a 5.1 Dolby setting, and tried submitting the batch for AC3 encoding. I am given a message “cannot submit batch, unable to connect to background process”

Can someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong? I don’t see anything about this in the compressor manual.

    Cheers!

Try searching the COW for “background process.” Use the quotes and I bet you’ll find your solution. I remember this happened to me many versions ago, but not the resolution.
