  Mastering DVD projects

  Hey folks,

  I am working on this large DVD project. It is the first time I have only a DVD as an end product. The DVD should be constructed so that I could easily come back to it and change bits for more current stuff. It’s DIY DVD with 6 chapters and a play all function. The total duration of the footage included will be somewhere around 45 mins.

  I was wondering if any of you more experienced DVD authors and editors would have any good tips how to approach this kind of task.

  You’re basically asking the question: “How do I author a DVD” 🙂

  What are you using to author and what kinds of problems are you having?

  Sorry. I made myself a bit unclear.

  My questions are:
  How and in which format you store the elements of your authored DVD?

  Plus, What would be the best way to do this if I need to come back and change something from let say chapter 5 in the middle of the DVD?

  If you need to make a change to the DVD (authoring) you need to have your project file and all the assets.

  If you need to make changes to the video itself, you need you NLE file and source clips.
