  Making a music Dvd

  Hi ,
  I need to make a dvd with a search that return some results after checking a db. Results will consists in music tracks playable preferably from inside the dvd.

  I’ve got some experience with dvd editing and authoring but I’ve never done something similar.

  What are your suggestions?

  Cannot be done, DVDs are self contained.

  Thanks for your reply.
  Maybe i wasn’t too clear.
  I need to make a data dvd, self contained , with n tracks and a menu that allow me to navigate and search trough the tracks.

  I’m pretty sure there are some tools/languages that let you do that (ie. Director which i don’t know that well).

  Any other, simpler ways?

  There is a Director forum if you want help with that. Sounds like that is what you are going to need. Of course this will not play on a set top player, but seems like you don’t need that by stating it is a DATA DVD.

  WIth a DVD you can easily build a track menu that jumps to any track but there is no search function.
