  • Compressor ‘DVD Best Quality 90 minute’ setting.

I have had some complaints from clients about DVDs I author using the Compressor ‘DVD Best Quality 90 minute’ setting. All the complaints come from clients playing the DVD on set top dvd players. The complaints range from the audio doesn’t play, the video doesn’t play, to the DVD doesn’t play at all. Switching my setting to the ‘DVD Best quality 150 minutes’ setting seems to resolve the problem but I’m worried I’m losing quality by using this setting.

Anyone have this experience? Any ideas?

    Thanks.

What audio setting are you using?

Try making your own settings that use a bit rate that is no more than 7Mb/s. It is not uncommon for burned DVDs to have trouble playing video that’s encoded at higher bit rates.
