We do a fair amount of duplicating at our shop, mostly in quantities up to around 100 discs. We have a Rimage 2000i which is around 6 years old, and lately been breathing it’s last. It needs new drives, and transport hardware and doesn’t print right anymore, and to send it away to get refurbished would cost a fortune.

So, we are looking at a new Rimage, or an Epson Diskproducer or a Microboard MX2, which is faster than the other two and about 800 bucks cheaper with a rebate going on right now.

Any thoughts on this machine or the other two? Or a different one?

    Have a wonderful day.

    Chris,
We are using the GX-2 with great results. The MX seems to be quite similar, but bigger & better.
    2 things:
Microboards recommends 2 hard drives, in the same computer, not an external drive.
The other is to keep the USB cable as short as possible – use the cable they provide.
I also recommend you have a computer dedicated to burning so that you don’t tie up machines for more important tasks such as editing or graphics.
    I hope this is helpful.
