I am producing a presentation dvd in DVD Studio Pro and have been using the method of one track with a single stream, set up with chapters, which have a Wait – infinite pause assigned to them to allow the operator to press play again to view the next section.

It all works fine but unfortunately some of the motion graphics when paused (even though they are a still image) look chunky.

It is fine on a computer monitor but not on a TV so I am guessing it is an interlacing issue, or has something to do with the dvd player.

The same graphic in a new track with the first chapter set to Wait – Infinite, plays fine though and is crisp, it is only when it follows after a video.

Any ideas, or perhaps another way I can do the presentation up that will eliminate this problem.

I would either fade to black after each chapter or design a menu which matches the last frame of video in the chapter.
