When creating layered menus so I can have rollovers on my menus, they seem to work fine in DVD players but if used on a computer with a mouse, need to be clicked twice to activate.

When the mouse rolls over the hotspot, nothing happens. The first click activates the rollover and the second click activates the link.

Does anybody know of a way around this so when the user is operating the DVD with a mouse, the rollovers work?

    Many thanks

    Rick

Each state in layered menus are really seperate menus. When you toggle between states the player’s laser must refocus to a new portion of the disc. Have you noticed the functionality is slower than most DVDs? Using a mouse to toggle these states is not good. The laser just isn’t fast enough to keep up. Don’t use layered menus unless you really must. Some players will have problems with them.
