We are trying to create a Closed Captioned DVD. We have captured the program in FPC, and imported the program and it’s associated “.scc” file into DVDSP. We targeted the “.scc” file in the “Inspector” under “Other”. Once the file is selected it defaults the Line 21 setting to Top Field. We have tried a few times, and when we play back the DVD on a monitor that displays captioning, we have yet to see it.

The first captioning content, starts at the beginning of the program. So the Program QT that we imported into DVDSP starts 1 frame back in black from the beginning of the program.

We’ve looked through the manual, and have followed all the steps that seem obvious. Not sure what we are missing – but if anyone has had success with this process, and can give us some feedback, it would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Andrea

    Andrea,
I take it commercial discs do play correct in the same setup?
Have you verified that the captions are indeed having the correct TC?
