  reading from a VCD

  I’m trying to translate footage from a DVD into a QT file for some minor re-edits in Final Cut (no copyright issues involved). I have DVDxDVPro, but the files available on the DVD are not recognized. They are:
  CDI
  EXT
  MPEGAV
  SEGMENT
  VCD
  VCD_PLAY.EXE

  Anyone have any guidance?

  Go deep into the folder structure untill you find a big file.
  This is a Mpeg1 file.
  Copy that and convert with any tool of your liking to uprez/convert to your desired file format.
