    Hey people,

I have been having problems off and on with my dvd’s not playing. I would like to know what combination of DVD burner and media works well for you. If you use DVD+R media do you bitset them to DVD-ROM? I do not plan on using dual layer media. My projects are all under 2 hours.

I have a PC with WIN XP and I burn my DVD’s with DVD Decrypter.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

Plextor is the best, and most expensive drive for burning. Pioneer is a close second. As for media, I only use Maxell and have had few if any rejections. DVD-R only. I stay away from Verbatim media.

I only burn critical discs at 1 or 2x…never more, even with 8x media. I burn DVD-ROM backups at 4x.

Thanks for your inputs Rich. Can you suggest a model number for the Plextor and Pioneer brands?

    Thnaks,

Anything by these two vendors will suffice…
