  Easiest way to do subtitles?

  I’m putting together a DVD production of my friend’s movie, doing all the art, and menus.

  He wants to do some subtitles (spanish and possibly french). I read in the DVD SP 4 book that you can work from an imported text file.

  He supplied a word document with the translations but there are no timecodes attached, much to my chagrin. Just ## marks after each line.

  Is there any way to use this without sitting down and painstakingly inserting the time codes for each line of text?

  Nope…without timecodes, how would the authoring app know where to put the subtitles.

  For this you can use my application “easysub”
  It is perfect for timing subtitles and do the layout (set the correct place for line breaks).
