Old situation: PAL production on media 100 844/X, exporting via firewire to i-movie, exporting as m2v / aif, importing in DVD Studio Pro, authoring, DVD finished.

Problem: long production route (uncompressed 10 bit, via dv to mpeg), poor picture quality.

New situation: PAL production on media 100 844/X, exporting in native 844/X 10 bit uncompressed. Using 844/X codec on apple to open in Compressor en making m2v /aif, importing in DVD Studio Pro, authoring, DVD finished.

Perfect picture quality, but somekind of field/frame problem on fast moving subjects. Tried all the different settings in Compressor: upper field first, lower field, progressive, filters. No difference at all.

Problem not viewable on computers, but terrible on TV screen.

    Any guess?

    Kind Regards,
