I’m using FCP and exporting QT files into i-DVD. I’m having problems with the DVD-R discs I make in i-DVD. Usually they play fine….they always properly on the 2 DVD players that I own. However occasionally a disc will not play back properly on another machine (not mine). The disc freezes up.

Is this an FCP/QT issue? Is this because all machines are not compatible with DVD-R? Is it the quality of the DVD-R stock that I am using? Should I be using DVD Studio Pro…will that affect the disc quality? (I have the program but haven’t mastered it yet.)

If I burn a new disc for my client will he still have the same problem with his machine? Two discs I have given him will not playback properly.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

    Thanks. Jen.
