  Quickest authoring

  I am looking the quickest way to make DVD-R’s from a lot of hour long videotapes, adding 4 to 10 chapters and then burn one or two DVD-Rs.

  I have been doing this on consumer standalone DVD burners satsifactorally. The generic menu works fine. However now I need to add chapters, a program and disk name for them and this can only be done with a clunky handheld remote control. It takes 20 minutes just to name everything. Are there any standalone burners that can be controlled by a regular keyboard?

  I guess I could spring for a dedicated computer/burner/authoring software if it was really faster and simpler. Any ideas?

  Check out Roxio burning software. Yes you will need to go the computer route but boy is it fast and easy.
