  Firmware upgrade for 16x DVDs?

  Hi All,
  I have an NEC 1300A DVD burner that works well with most media up to 8x (although it only burns at 4x).
  Problem: I bought a pack of Memorex inkjet prinable 16x DVD blanks and my burner won’t recognize the media (not of required type warning in DVDA 1.0e).
  Is there a firmware upgrade that will at least allow my burner to use these discs at 4x? My current firmware is 1.0B.
