  Settings on a DLT machine…URGENT

  Hey Guys

  Sorry for the duplicate post, but i need an answer asap!

  I have my first DLT job and i need to know what settings to set my DLT machine onto.

  Its a 20/40 DLT … i think quantum

  anyway do i have to have the compress light on? do i need to set it up in any way….

  Hi
  No compression. There is an overide button to switch it off if its lit up.
  If your writing software asks for the tape to be inserted then that may be a better way to do it, letting the contrtolling software take full control.
