  Master rejected – UDF Permissions Incompatible

  I just got word back from a client that a DVD we produced for them with both video and ROM content was rejected by the duplicator. The message on the Eclipse report says “UDF File/Dir Permissions Incompatible with Read-Only Media” for just about every file on the disk.

  I found an old posting referring to this problem at:

  but I’ve yet to find an explanation as to why this happened in the first place and what I need to do to fix it. The DVD was burned using Toast on a Mac.

  Thanks for your help. We’ve done many DVDs before, and this is the first rejected master we’ve had.
