Do you think that shooting multicamera is a good idea?

I was told that I should try to get on some sets to study the DPs, and I was thinking back to a web series I helped worked on set for and a feature film I helped on as well before.

They both used the multiple camera set up, which means that you can only light it once without changing anything, and all the camera shots cannot interfere with each other obviously, so the shot choices are limited.

It also means paying for more equipment, but on the plus side the shoots got done really fast, compared to just a single camera set up.

Do you think I should do that, since I have worked on projects with that system before, or do you think that the single camera set up, although more time, has other benefits?

Since moderation does not kick in, can we PLEASE ignore this guy?
Foy you who do not yet know him, he will never every stop asking stupid questions nor will he do anything with the answers.
It’s a waste of time and bandwith.
