    Hello Cinematographers.

Our school recently acquired a Sony A7S so its pretty new still. One of our students is experiencing black spots in her footage. It was all shot with a Sony A7s. At first she thoughts it was a dirty lens, primarily because the spots show up in the same place for each clip. But a thorough lens cleaning proved that theory wrong.

Has anyone experienced this? Perhaps it is just dead pixels but I wanted a second opinion before I sent it in for repair.

    Thanks!

Just what is it that I don’t get?

Look at your sensor. And use a blow gun to remove the debris. Before every shoot we always blow out the sensor and lens before every production the night before.
