Hi I am new in the world of cinematography i dont know too much and this is why i came here, i have a question about the cinema camera :
Why is the red epic and other cinema cameras costing like 30K $, that’s much money : for example if i buy the sony 4k fdr-ax1 at 4K $ and a red epic camera recording at 4k with exactly the same lense of the sony, what will be the differences ?
Will i see big image quality difference on my 4k TV ?

Sorry no one is available 24/7.

Here is an article to begin your understanding:

You’ll need to read the whole article as it explains pixels, modulation transfer function, photosites, dynamic range, psychology of vision, frame rate, aliasing, compression and on and on. Then you’ll need to read the tech specs of the cameras you are interested in, and put the two pieces of information together. I can’t do it for you. I can point you the right direction though. And I’m trying. You will need to read the whole article.
