That is a literal interpretation of what it is… seeing through a character’s eyes. By the way Objects don’t really have eyes…
We could also say extreme subjective POV… Remember subjective shot (from the view of a subject, the subjectivity of characters on screen… Here comes your object?) is about delivering to the audience what the character knows rather than what he really sees… The whole idea as a metteur en scène or DOP is to work on the nuance you can give… the closer you get to the first person POV the more you put your audience in the shoes of the protagonist? you can play within a scene to create tension or isolation as well as building identification with a character? Those are the ideas that turn in your head when you deliver the shot but it is mostly on gut feeling that you frame in my opinion.
