  Shooting Higher Resolution on Lower End Canon DSLRs

  Is it possible to shoot video at the same resolution as pictures (5184 x 3456) or even just higher than 1920 x 1080 on canon DSLR’s via magic lantern or other such things? It’d be awesome if I had a little room to fix framing and such in post.

  No, sorry.

  If you could do that, Canon wouldn’t be selling many C500s.
