  ICG is hosting an A-list panel about cinematography and VFX at the 2013 NAB Show. Here are the details:

  “You Say You Want a “Revolution”? How cinematographers and VFX collaborate on the hit NBC Drama”

  Date/Time/Location: Monday, April 8, South Hall, S 220, 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM

  Description: Digital technology has forever altered the use of VFX in dramatic television. Close collaboration between the preferred workflows of rotating cinematographers, their on-set camera departments and CGI artists working off-site, have helped make “Revolution” look like no other episodic on the small screen. The DP’s lighting and design of complex composite shots; choice of capture systems; monitoring and playback capabilities, and relationship with the VFX supervisor–on-set and in post–is at the heart of “Revolution’s” success. Hear how the creative team behind this hit network series work together to integrate the largest amount of weekly VFX shots – from conception to digital finish – on television. Produced in partnership with International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600.
