    Hi Every body

Im learning after effects ( I know I must be patience ) but
I can not work and learn in peace because there are error one after another…
    HOW COME IS POSSIBLE
it doest matter what but is always something

    -RAM
    -get stock
    -preview
    -etc

All the poor creative cow is full of this errors

Please somebody?… if I make the change and star to FINAL CUT will be the same ?…
or it is more clean and reliable ( WITH AT LIST NOT SO MANY ERROR )

Im sorry if I this post can be strong for somebody but is just my modest (angry) opinion..

I just want to know if will be good idea to change to final cut or stay in AE and continue learning.

    Best regards

    G.

First, AE is a compositing, effects and motion graphics software.
FCP is an editing software. So based on what you want to do- effects and motion graphics or editing you should choose one or the other.
Secondly, giving us the specs of your workstation ( OS, processors, RAM…) and version of AE may shed some light. Also, mentioning the exact circumstances under which you experienced the error messages will help get answers.

Ted offers some very good advice here so I’d only add two things …

There are very many of us who have worked in After Effects daily for a long time and rarely have to deal with any sort of errors, etc. … my opinion is that the vast majority of AE problems are really user error, not the software.

Also, although there is some degree of overlap, AE and FCP are intended to do different things so its’ not necessarily one or the other … most editors I know use both.

    Hi Guys

I just will like to say that after effects
works much more better with more ram and a faster PC

Maybe the guys from CreativeCow didn’t want to tell me because they are polite
but work with a notebook and just a bit of ram was a totally S****** …

if you need to work with 3d and heave effects better get a new computer…

    just my experience

    Regards Mr. LaRonde

    Sorry for late awser

The error that I steel dealing with is this one
    https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/2/984096

And it is very we waird because I didnt change anything and suddenly
appears … I was looking in the creative cow but people are saying a million or differents
solutions and I have tried mostly of the with out any results…

The last thing that is “partially working” is that I
go to the preferences and on porpose allow the multiprocesing …
then go back to AE and click on ram preview ( just for do something )

then go back to preference en disable the miltiprocesing ( witch in my pc is all the time turned OFF )

    This problem appears
    in the CS4 version
using a mac pro 3,1 with 20 Gb ram

    Best regards
