High-speed, slow-mo
Hey gang…
We’re mulling over a commercial project that might include some relatively heavy-duty slow-mo work. Nothing bullet-stopping, but fairly slow slow-mo… maybe in the few hundred fps range.
I was wondering what options there were out there that I haven’t thought of or didn’t know about.
My first thought was Phantom, either the Flex or HD Gold … but thought there might be something easier or less expensive or just something completely different that was new to me. Looking for at least 1080p resolution and would prefer PL mount.
Thoughts, anyone?

Weisscam HS-2 was what I looked at in a similar situation. Easier, not necessarily less expensive, but I was able to get everything working in about 15 minutes of prep… no need for a dedicated tech or computer. Which I guess could make it cheaper. Speed range is dependent on resolution, but I think you’d have no trouble in HD going over 500fps.
In LA Clairmont camera has them, not sure about availability elsewhere.
