  Shooting a water drop

  Hi,

  I need to shoot a single water drop to composite it. I will be using a canon 5D with a 60mm macro lens.
  But what kind of a background should I shoot it on ? Black or green ? Also how can I possibly light the scene so I can see the drop clearly ? This article has been an inspiration

  Sounds like fun
  I would think a black background would work but I defer to the VFX specialist.
  However, you will need to throw some backlight on the drop. Position the light so you can keep it from flaring the lens
  I would also throw some fill light in as well
  Maybe throw a light into a piece of white card for a nice soft bounce. It should give the drop of water a nice little glow
