Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Smoothing out the volume of clips

I’m putting together a montage in After Effects consisting of about a dozen video clips. Some of my video clips have very loud audio and some that have very quiet audio. Does After Effects have some sort of audio smoother that would adjust all the audio in the clips to the same level? For example it would add volume to the quiet clips and remove volume from the louder clips. I can do it by hand for each clip, but I was just wondering. Thanks.

AE’s not exactly an audio program. And when I say, “not exactly,” I mean, “not at all”.

Technically, there are ways you could do it, but setting it up would take longer than manually adjusting the volume on 12 clips.
