I will be shooting some football scenes on Super 16mm this weekend at a practical location in California. We are shooting some scenes at night under the existing lights at a high school football field. The lights are Musco stadium lights so I am pretty confident that I can get a decent exposure with Vision 3 500T. My question involves the possible problems in shooting with these lights off-speed. We will be shooting slow-mo (possibly 60fps) and I was wondering if there will be flicker? If so, how much should I expect? Also, does anyone know roughly what I might expect in terms of intensity from these lights? Thank you.

Fellow COW Todd McMullen would be the one to ask. Since he shoots Friday Night Lights, I’m sure he’s been in that scenario more than once.

If he doesn’t chime in, he might be away… you might be able to track him down via his “host” profile in this forum…
