  Screen not updating problem

  can someone tell me why when i drag my playhead in the timeline, the effects i created do not update constantly on my computer screen? my effects do not update until i release the mouse button and the playhead has time to rest and then think for a second to update to show what the effects look like at that point in time.

  i have a dual 1.8 ghz 2gb ram powermac.

  i have used a dual 2 and 2.7 with 2gb ram and they update constantly while i drag the playead. whats wrong?

  Near the top of the timeline, you should see five buttons. The “shy guy” is number three. Click the first button to enable “dynamic preview”.
