Ceiling-mounted background lights
Aloha all!
I have a multi-purpose room that we use for classroom, screenings, and shooting. The overall dimensions are roughly 25′ x 19′. The ceilings are about 10′ tall, but there is a lot of air conditioning piping, conduits, and other clutter up there. Really nothing above 9′ is usable.
On the narrow wall, I have 3 roll-down backdrops: white, photo grey, and green. The backdrops are 10′ wide and are mounted 8′ off the floor.
Space is really at a premium in there when we set up to shoot, and using lights on stands to illuminate the background is getting old. I’d like to find something I can hang and forget to provide a uniform wash.
The air conditioning in the room is nothing special, so I’d prefer to avoid high-wattage tungsten. But, if budgetary constraints force the issue, so be it.
I’m willing to spend about $1,000 total. That’s for instruments, mounting, cabling, etc.
What would you recommend?
Mahalo!
