    Hello everyine,

    I’m kind of new to AE and video editing…
    I’m kind of sick of trying to key out something… here’s the deal:
    I shot footage in front of a mostly blue wall, but near the edge there’s a white door and the headstock of my guitar (with chrome, reflective tuners) is infront of that. Now I want to key the door out, but I keep taking the chrome with it. Is there any way of solving this? If a screenshot is required, I’d be glad to provide one.
    Please, please help me!

    Screen shot would help, but it sounds like you may need to do this on seperate layers.

    The guitar would be on the top layer and masked out. The bottom layer would contain your other footage keyed out. You could then precomp the entire thing.

    Todd, I just said exactly that. Just without the cool website, pictures, precise definition and the authority that comes with actually working for AE.
